# Verify it yourself

> How to check the rules against the chain.

## What it is

The [Verify](https://pariprotocol.xyz/verify) page reads the chain in your browser and compares it with what the API says. A mismatch shows as a failure.

## When to use it

Use it when you want to confirm a rule yourself instead of taking the docs' word for it.

## Step by step

**1. Open Verify**

Go to the [Verify](https://pariprotocol.xyz/verify) page. It starts reading the chain in your browser.

**2. Check what it shows**

Go through each part listed below.

**3. Read what it cannot prove**

The page also lists what it cannot prove. Read that part too.

## What it shows

* **Programs**, and who can upgrade them.
* **Admin and multisig.**
* **Presets**, **fee splits** and **fee payouts.**
* **The launch-window blocklist.**
* **Declared wallets** and **pauses.**

## What it cannot prove

* It does not read the program code. It shows who can change a program, not what the code does.
* A program that its multisig can upgrade can change. The multisig is the control, not a promise.
* The bonding curve program takes a fixed 0.2% at migration. The protocol cannot change it.
* After migration, the pool fee can be changed by an operator of the pool program, outside this protocol.
* The version of the bonding curve program in use (0.2.x) has no public audit.
* The split is done by the operator's bot. The program counts what the bot records against what it collected. It does not send the shares itself.
* A tokenized stock used as a pair is controlled by its issuer. An issuer can freeze accounts or move tokens out of them, including the account that holds payouts.
