What it is

Pari ships two files for coding agents. SKILL.md teaches an agent to use the pari CLI safely. llms.txt gives an agent a map of these docs. The skill is a folder with two files:
  • SKILL.md: the rules. Dry run first, how to handle keys, the fee guard, and how to talk about rewards.
  • reference.md: every command, option and exit code, generated from the CLI.

When to use it

Use it when an agent runs the CLI or writes code against Pari. The agent tools work on devnet only today.

Step by step

1

Install the CLI

The skill needs the CLI. See CLI. The npm i -g line inside SKILL.md does not work yet, because the CLI is not on npm.
2

Copy the skill into your agent's skills folder

The command creates <dir>/pari/. Use --force to replace an older copy.
For one project only:
If your agent has no skills folder, print the file and add it to the agent’s instructions:
3

Give it a keypair path

Give the agent a path to a keypair file, never the key itself. Use a wallet made for testing, with nothing of value in it.
4

Ask in plain words

The skill tells the agent to work in this order: run the command without --send, read the simulation, the quote and the fee, and repeat with --send only if the result is right.

llms.txt

llms.txt is a short plain-text index of the docs, made for language models. Point your agent at it when it needs to find a page:
Or paste this into your prompt:

Using the SDK with an agent

The skill covers the CLI. If your agent writes code, point it at the SDK and REST API pages too. Tell it to use only names shown there. To read data, an agent needs no key at all:

Numbers and limits

What can go wrong

The CLI refuses a buy whose fee is over --max-fee-bps, and exits with code 2. The skill tells the agent not to raise that limit unless you say so, with the number. After a refused buy, the agent should report the fee and wait.
Tell it to use only names shown on the SDK and REST API pages.
